Proverbs 11:27-31 GW ...Whoever eagerly seeks good searches for good will, but whoever looks for evil finds it. (28) Whoever trusts his riches will fall, but righteous people will flourish like a green leaf. (28) Those who depend on their wealth will fall like the leaves of autumn, but the righteous will prosper like the leaves of summer. (29) Those who bring trouble on their families will have nothing at the end. Foolish people will always be servants to the wise. (30) Righteousness gives life, but violence takes it away. (31) Those who are good are rewarded here on earth, so you can be sure that wicked and sinful people will be punished.
Proverbs 11:27-31 CEV ...Try hard to do right, and you will win friends; go looking for trouble, and you will find it. (28) Trust in your wealth, and you will be a failure, but God's people will prosper like healthy plants. (29) Fools who cause trouble in the family won't inherit a thing. They will end up as slaves of someone with good sense. (30) Live right, and you will eat from the life-giving tree. And if you act wisely, others will follow. (31) If good people are rewarded here on this earth, all who are cruel and mean will surely be punished.
