Luke 21:1-4 Darby
(1) And he looked up and saw the rich casting their gifts into the treasury;
(2) but he saw also a certain poor widow casting therein two mites.
(3) And he said, Verily I say unto you, that this poor widow has cast in more than all;
(4) for all these out of their abundance have cast into the gifts of God ; but she out of her need has cast in all the living which she had.

(1) Now having looked up, He saw the rich [people] putting their offerings into the treasury [fig., collection boxes].
(2) Then He saw also a certain poor widow putting [in] there two lepta [or, two very small copper coins].
(3) And He said, "Truly I say to you*, this poor widow put [in] more [than] all.
(4) "For all these out of their abundance [or, surplus] put into the offerings for God, but this [woman] out of her poverty, all her livelihood which she was having, she put [in]."

(1) Jesus looked up and saw some rich people tossing their gifts into the offering box.
(2) He also saw a poor widow putting in two pennies.
(3) And he said, "I tell you that this poor woman has put in more than all the others.
(4) Everyone else gave what they didn't need. But she is very poor and gave everything she had."
