John 8:45-53 CEV Everything I have told you is true, and you still refuse to have faith in me. (46) Can any of you accuse me of sin? If you cannot, why won't you have faith in me? After all, I am telling you the truth. (47) Anyone who belongs to God will listen to his message. But you refuse to listen, because you don't belong to God. (48) The people told Jesus, "We were right to say that you are a Samaritan and that you have a demon in you!" (49) Jesus answered, "I don't have a demon in me. I honor my Father, and you refuse to honor me. (50) I don't want honor for myself. But there is one who wants me to be honored, (Mat 3:17) and he is also the one who judges. (51) I tell you for certain that if you obey my words, you will never die." (52) Then the people said, "Now we are sure that you have a demon. Abraham is dead, and so are the prophets. How can you say that no one who obeys your words will ever die? (53) Are you greater than our father Abraham? He died, and so did the prophets. Who do you think you are?"
John 8:45-53 GNB But I tell the truth, and that is why you do not believe me. (46) Which one of you can prove that I am guilty of sin? If I tell the truth, then why do you not believe me? (47) He who comes from God listens to God's words. You, however, are not from God, and that is why you will not listen." (48) They asked Jesus, "Were we not right in saying that you are a Samaritan and have a demon in you?" (49) "I have no demon," Jesus answered. "I honor my Father, but you dishonor me. (50) I am not seeking honor for myself. But there is one who is seeking it (Mat 3:17) and who judges in my favor. (51) I am telling you the truth: whoever obeys my teaching will never die." (52) They said to him, "Now we know for sure that you have a demon! Abraham died, and the prophets died, yet you say that whoever obeys your teaching will never die. (53) Our father Abraham died; you do not claim to be greater than Abraham, do you? And the prophets also died. Who do you think you are?"
John 8:45-53 ESV But because I tell the truth, you do not believe me. (46) Which one of you convicts me of sin? If I tell the truth, why do you not believe me? (47) Whoever is of God hears the words of God. The reason why you do not hear them is that you are not of God." (48) The Jews answered him, "Are we not right in saying that you are a Samaritan and have a demon?" (49) Jesus answered, "I do not have a demon, but I honor my Father, and you dishonor me. (50) Yet I do not seek my own glory; there is One who seeks it, (Mat 3:17) and he is the judge. (51) Truly, truly, I say to you, if anyone keeps my word, he will never see death." (52) The Jews said to him, "Now we know that you have a demon! Abraham died, as did the prophets, yet you say, 'If anyone keeps my word, he will never taste death.' (53) Are you greater than our father Abraham, who died? And the prophets died! Who do you make yourself out to be?"
John 8:45-53 GW So you don't believe me because I tell the truth. (46) Can any of you convict me of committing a sin? If I'm telling the truth, why don't you believe me? (47) The person who belongs to God understands what God says. You don't understand because you don't belong to God." (48) The Jews replied to Jesus, "Aren't we right when we say that you're a Samaritan and that you're possessed by a demon?" (49) Jesus answered, "I'm not possessed. I honor my Father, but you dishonor me. (50) I don't want my own glory. But there is someone who wants it, (Mat 3:17) and he is the judge. (51) I can guarantee this truth: Whoever obeys what I say will never see death." (52) The Jews told Jesus, "Now we know that you're possessed by a demon. Abraham died, and so did the prophets, but you say, 'Whoever does what I say will never taste death.' (53) Are you greater than our father Abraham, who died? The prophets have also died. Who do you think you are?"

You will note the reference windows often include more than one translation of the Bible. The reason is to strive to gain the best possible understanding of the original Hebrew and Greek. Since we don't speak those languages, we rely on those who have come before and made the effort to translate those texts into English for us. Considering several translations gives the benefit of the understanding of several translation committees or individuals.
