Genesis 16:2-4 ESV And Sarai said to Abram, "Behold now, the LORD has prevented me from bearing children. Go in to my servant; it may be that I shall obtain children by her." And Abram listened to the voice of Sarai. (3) So, after Abram had lived ten years in the land of Canaan, Sarai, Abram's wife, took Hagar the Egyptian, her servant, and gave her to Abram her husband as a wife. (4) And he went in to Hagar, and she conceived. And when she saw that she had conceived, she looked with contempt on her mistress.
Genesis 16:15 ESV And Hagar bore Abram a son, and Abram called the name of his son, whom Hagar bore, Ishmael.

(4) And he went in to Hagar and she conceived; and she saw that she had conceived, and her mistress was despised in her eyes.
Genesis 16:15 LITV And Hagar bore a son to Abram, and Abram called the name of his son whom Hagar bore, Ishmael.

Genesis 16:2-4 GNB and so she said to Abram, "The LORD has kept me from having children. Why don't you sleep with my slave? Perhaps she can have a child for me." Abram agreed with what Sarai said. (3) So she gave Hagar to him to be his concubine. (This happened after Abram had lived in Canaan for ten years.) (4) Abram had intercourse with Hagar, and she became pregnant. When she found out that she was pregnant, she became proud and despised Sarai.
Genesis 16:15 GNB Hagar bore Abram a son, and he named him Ishmael.
